About Us

Cancer and Me is a cancer care support group and founded by Mario Enrico Go Machica, MD in December 2004. Its objective is to provide a support system to the cancer victim in whatever means and effort no matter how little it is. Care and support comes in various forms: moral, medical, service, nursing service, financial, psychological, social, nutritional, spiritual, art (music, poetry, painting, dance, etc. ) chemotherapy agents/supplies, quality time and others. Membership is open to cancer patients, their family, friends, health care personnel, spiritual gruop, organizations, social worker, charitable institution, or any individual entity group who has the noble intention to provide support in any form to poeple afflicted with cancer.

Cancer and ME logo: The cadaceus above the word cancer represents the oncologic intervention against cancer. The word cancer is colored dark blue to represents the gloominess of this devastationg disease. The work ME represents the support group, M for mulitple and E for efforts. The word ME is colored green to represents life/hope. the ME gives essence to the life of the cancer patient. The word and is colored range to represent the rays of the morning sun, serving as the link between the cancer patient and the support group, ME. The two hearts grouped in two represents the strength of two people in any support system. The hearts are in different shapes and colors representing various support systems. These are placed below the ME indicate that the burden of the ME group is carried by several units of two. The triangular configuration assumed by the logo indicates that basically three entities constitute a group/crowd and that three points determine stability.
